Skateboard heat transfers have a size of 9” x 33”.
Other heat transfers are made in custom sizes.
The Production Process of Heat Transfers:
Skateboard heat transfers are screen printed.
Each color is printed separately onto a thin transparent plastic film.
For each color used in an artwork, we have to prepare an individual screen.
If you do not know screen printing, we suggest you watch a “screen printing” tutorial on Youtube to understand the process.
If your design has 3 colors, we have to build 3 screens. We place the first screen on the plastic film, print the color and let it dry. Then we repeat the same process with the second screen. And later we do the same for the third screen.
Therefor each color requires the production of its own screen and its individual print. Except CMYK Prints.
CMYK Prints:
CMYK prints are made by printing blue, pink, yellow and black on a white surface. By mixing these base colors, every other color can be created. Get yourself a comic and take a close look. You will see the images are made of tiny blue, pink and yellow dots.
Spot Colors VS CMYK Prints:
Unlike CMYK prints, Spot color prints are made by using the original colors. Instead of printing green as yellow and blue dots, a green ink will be used. Therefor Spot color prints are much more vibrant and accurate.

Skateboard Heat Transfers Minimum Order Quantity:
The minimum order quantity is 50 heat transfers per design.
Digital Printed Heat Transfers:
Digital printed heat transfers are comparable to CMYK printed heat transfers with the difference that digital printed heat transfers can not contain any transparencies. Nor can digitally printed heat transfers combine matte and glossy design components. Matte skateboard heat transfers are therefor all screen printed.
We currently do not offer digitally print heat transfers. However we are looking for a digital printer to start offering these!
